What with a new appraisal on my board for the design of a block of flats locally in Gullane, and the issue of waiting for a building warrant on a house in Musselburgh to give one happy client (and their builder) the green light to press on and start the work on their extension, it has certainly been a busy time!
On top of this, Planning Consent has been approved by East Lothian Council for another project just outside Tranent. It has only taken a total of two months from lodgement to granting planning permission. This goes to show that things can work very smoothly if you take time to talk them through the proposal and provide all the correct information upfront. I’ll post the before and after photos of these projects as things progress. But in the meantime, I thought you may enjoy seeing some photos of a project in the south side of North Berwick, but now with some additional and new balconies. I designed these balconies so that they are supported on new stone columns in order to improve on the original front facade and give the property some needed individuality - a cost-effective solution for the replacement of the old galleries.
